If anyone took this class that is already a 'buyer' learned anything, then they probably shouldn't have the job they had. This presentation was also extremely outdated.

Totally misunderstood the intent of this training, not sure it was the way it was described or totally my misinterpretation, but it ended up not being relative at this time.

I thought the class was supposed to be 60-70 min but it went on for at least 90. I finally left just after 12:30. As for the class itself, this mainly useful for a much larger corporation who has multiple staff in their purchasing department. A small company like us who has only 1 purchaser would never have time to implement the audits described on an annual basis. Good for informational purposes though as we go into dealing more with law enforcement and state agencies.

Overall this was a good training on an intro to strategic purchasing. Most topics covered were an "overview" of concepts and did not really dive into the "how" of actually achieving the goals and putting them into practice though. I would have found it to be slightly more beneficial if there were in-depth discussions on how to practice the strategic purchasing concepts presented rather than going over the definitions and basic meaning of the areas encompassed within the strategic purchasing discussion.
